Anyway, I've changed my mind. I don't believe that you deserve a customised system – I believe that you need a customised system. Whatever your business, the way in which you manage your data, team, processes, workflow and reporting is a key aspect of your business. If you don't get it right, you'll end up somewhere you never wanted to be.
There are lots of CRM / business systems out there that offer a 'one size fits all' solution to your business system needs, and they're attractively priced (£0-£20 per user per month). Enter your email address, set up your monthly direct debit and you're off. Job done. Get thee to the pub/restaurant/ski slope.
Fast forward a week, month or year. There are too many buttons, too much jargon that doesn't apply to your business and, worst of all, you can't get the information that's important to you. The proverbial tail has ended up wagging the dog.
Many of our clients come to us after coming to the end of a difficult journey with an off the shelf solution which offered heaps of functionality on day one but which didn't actually model the way their business works. Whatever your company does, you do it well enough to still be in business today. But the chances are that you're not business systems experts and that you just need to speak to someone that is.
That's Thirdrock – this is what we do.
We help our clients unlock their business potential, creating cloud business systems that automate data, simplify processes and connect people – releasing them, to grow the business.
We don't believe that you're off the shelf and we're not off the shelf either. Our OneDegree platform provides a great framework for whatever business system you might need and it's designed to be built out over time. It allows us to develop quickly, scalably and securely, while still providing you with a custom solution to your exact and evolving needs. Oh, and our focus on ROI results in cost saving... which is nice.
If your business is growing, you may already recognise the need to put a business system in place. If you are finding it increasingly difficult to work from spreadsheets, have more team members to manage or need to find a better way to manage your organisation, please contact us to find out how we might be able to work together. A conversation now may well save a lot of hassle later.
Footnote: Stock phrases which didn't make it into this blog entry: 'Act in hate, repent at leisure', 'A stitch in time saves nine' and 'Many a mickle makes a muckle'. Although I don't actually know what that last one means.
